![]() Ultimately, The Creator is a snapshot of the past and present, without a Disney filter, as its empire tells an unadulterated story of how world powers have to kill in the name of the greater good. It further leans into how AI is evolving in the real world, and why diplomacy over military applications has failed - and will continue to fail - the world on either side. Nomad is tied to real-world politics on a more truthful, wholesome level. This war is about survival, and when it comes to the desperate times of self-preservation, America has no problem relying on desperate measures. ![]() They aren't mining for material like Avatar, or seeking dominion. It plays on fear and terrorism, driving the US to spy, invade, and fry other locales. The US sees advanced tech, robots, digital tools, etc., that others have as a threat to homeland safety once more. What surprises me is that IMAXs website still lists this theater as non-laser, and the listing on Fandango makes no mention of it. Thus, the foundation's there informing that this is retaliation. I just saw Avatar 2 at Regal Edwards IMAX in Long Beach last night, and could have sworn it was Laser projection and not the 2k Xeon projector. There's solid context off the bat as to why Nomad is needed: America thinks Asia bombed them. The Creator's villains aren't one-dimensional, though, as a more wholesome story's told. Like the Empire and the Death Star, America thinks this is justice and that controlling the planet helps keep order. This leads to a decades-long feud, with Asia at war with the US, hating how America loves flexing its power. Whether it be AI hubs with robots, human sympathizers, or a mix of the two, this American weapon would be able to drop nukes and blow these regions and perceived infidels up.
